The Dowdy Family
It's so fun taking pictures of family...oh wait...well, they feel like family, we are with them so much. These shots were all taken on their huge beautiful piece of property. My kids had a fun time running around in the back ground making them laugh...though I think this family cracks themselves up without any help. Such a fun family.
The Roe Family
Oh how I love this family. I think I want to adopt them all...or they could adopt me...whatever. How fun to take pictures of a family I love so much.

Another Lopez family
This shoot a couple of weeks ago with Lisette and Joe Lopez and their kids was truly a joy to shoot. John went to the shoot with me as my "assistant" and we both had such a wonderful time getting to know this beautiful family. They were great sports, lots of fun, and so photogenic. We shot these at Fort Christmas.

"Naturals" - The Hicks photoshoot
My niece Lexi
My little brother...and his three girls
My little brother Jon, and his cute wife Jodi, have the cutest little family. We spent so much time with them in Utah this summer, and we miss them so much. These little girls just stole our hearts. It was fun for me to capture the essence of this sweet family. Love! We shot these in downtown Kaysville Utah, not far from their home.

Girls in White Dresses
Nieves shoot

While I was in Utah, I had the opportunity to photograph members of the Nieves family. I photographed some large groups, and then a few individual family groups. They wanted some pictures with their grandfather as the centerpiece, and I loved making that happen for them. This little girl with "the eyes" was just so beautiful.

Hillis photo shoot
I had so much fun shooting the Hillis girls and their cute cousins. Gotta love these big eyes on Annie. The girls did a great job, and I think the pictures turned out to be so fun...especially considering there was a huge rain storm going on a lot of the time. Thank goodness for covered porches.

Martsie and Aaron's Wedding
I was able to go to Utah this past month to photograph my nieces wedding. Martsie and Aaron were married in the Salt Lake temple, and the whole day was just beautiful...even if a little unseasonably cold. It was wonderful to be in the temple with so much of my family and then to photograph this beautiful and very in love couple. They were so natural in front of the camera, which made my job was very easy. What a wonderful experience.

Brick wall...cuteness...etc.
I shot these Pictures back in December, but had forgotten how much I loved them. I ran across them today and thought I should do a little posting. I shot these in Mount Dora Florida. We had gone there for the day with our good friends the Roses, and we ran across the brick wall of my dreams (Yes, I have strange dreams) and the rest is history. So here's...Carver, Kennedy, Cooper, Gavin, Emma, and Luke.

Matt and Stephany..."Just Married"
This past week-end I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding reception. Matt and Stephany got married, and Matt's mother asked me to come and capture some of their special moments this evening. It is always wonderful to see the joy in the faces of a new bride and groom. I am good friends with the family, so I enjoyed taking pictures of them as well. Matt and Stephany looked radiant.

The Rose Family
I did this shoot for the Rose family at Rollins College in November of 08. The architecture there is so beautiful and we had a variety of spots to choose from. I love taking pictures of good friends, as it makes for such a relaxed environment. My family tagged along for this shoot too. This family is so photogenic that it was hard to choose my favorites shots to post. I absolutely loved this day and look forward to shooting at Rollins College again.
The Galloway Family
This darling family with these five young children, were such fun to shoot back in November of 08. We took so many pictures this day, and even with it being a little bit chilly, they just kept turning on the "cuteness". These kids know how to work the camera. Shot after shot of darling stuff. I finally had to cut myself off. We shot at Fort Christmas in Christmas Florida and it gave us lots of variety for the millions of shots I wanted to take.
The Von Hack Family
What a beautiful family. Right! I got to take the Von Hack's pictures in December of 08 and it was such a fun experience. I love this picture of the four kids below. This could have potentially been a tricky photoshoot as we has a total of 16 people to shoot including extended family, but it just turned out to be so fun. My family came along and everyone just kind of played and ran around in between shots. We shot these at Fort Christmas, in Christmas Florida. One of my favorite spots. It was fun to see Chris as he was home on break for the Airforce Academy.
The Rediske family
It was such a pleasure to shoot this fun, energetic, and photogenic family back in November of 08. The Rediske's are good friends and beautiful people, inside and out. We shot these pictures in Avalon Park.
Cooper learns to pose
I recently found this park in Winter Park and thought it would be a great location to shoot. Great trees, view of the lake, neat old columns. It is called Kraft-Azalea Park. Cooper was a great sport and actually posed for me. Such a change from the old Cooper. Anyway, I liked the way they all turned out, and I would love to do some more shoots here.

The Mann Children
The Hales Family
The Hales photo-shoot was a special one. Kurt Hales is now in Iraq for a year with the Army, and at the time I took these shots (Late December 08), he was getting close to leaving. I knew these would be the last photos they would have together for a while. The Hales also had some extended family in town, and I photographed them too. Everything ran smoothly and I really like the way they turned out. I shot these at Fort Christmas. You can see that it is one of my favorite photography spots.

Camera shy Cooper
I took these picture in the fall, at a little boarwalk that is in my neighborhood, right behind the kids school. I figured I would just let Cooper run and play and I would snap candid shots of him. Well, he was less than happy with me to say the least. He would not look at me, or even give me the time of day. I guess he was sick of seeing me with the camera in my hand.

My Parents
It was fun to take pictures of my parents when they were visiting in January of this year. We had a fun day, a great picnic, the kids played, and then we took these pictures. It's hard not having my parents live close, but to be able to have a day like this, makes up for a lot of that.

By this time...Cooper had used up all of his "good" behavior, and he would have NOTHING to do with having another picture taken (as in much screaming and ranting and raving). So I have all these sweet shots of my parents with my kids...minus the youngest. Well, what can you do. Such is life with a toddler. One day when he wonders why he didn't get in on this special moment...I will have a story to tell.

Summer Smiles
This past summer I was able to capture some relaxed and happy moments of my kids and a few of their cousins while they played in their aunt Jodi's yard in Utah. They LOVE going to Utah for a month each summer, and these pictures will always remind me of how happy they are when they are there. Sometimes I wish I could freeze my kids at this age, but I guess photography is the second best thing . I take most of my favorite shots outside using natural light. These shots show that a simple back yard, or a patch of grass, can end up being a great backdrop to pictures.

Wedding bliss
So this blog is such a work in progress. I am just slowly getting around to looking through all my photos to see what I want to include. I have not had a chance to do many weddings since I moved to Florida (I hang with a much younger crowd), but I have a few weddings coming up, so I thought maybe I would post some of my old stuff and get inspired. This darling couple (seriously...aren't they so cute) happens to be my nephew and his wife. This was three years ago in Bountiful Utah. I just loved the joy on their faces the whole day. What a fun experience.

Newborn Sweetness
Baby Love
I just can't resist babies as they get into the "squishy" stage. So fun to photograph. Here are some shots of cute Andrew, Cooper, Caroline, and Maria.
