The Dowdy Family

It's so fun taking pictures of family...oh wait...well, they feel like family, we are with them so much. These shots were all taken on their huge beautiful piece of property. My kids had a fun time running around in the back ground making them laugh...though I think this family cracks themselves up without any help. Such a fun family.

The Roe Family

Oh how I love this family. I think I want to adopt them all...or they could adopt me...whatever. How fun to take pictures of a family I love so much.

The Beautiful Ford Family

John and I enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with the Fords at Rollins College.

Juliano Family

I loved meeting and working with this family.

Rediske Family

Had so much fun shooting the Rediske family at Waterford Park. The best looking super heros ever.

Another Lopez family

This shoot a couple of weeks ago with Lisette and Joe Lopez and their kids was truly a joy to shoot. John went to the shoot with me as my "assistant" and we both had such a wonderful time getting to know this beautiful family. They were great sports, lots of fun, and so photogenic. We shot these at Fort Christmas.

Blooms of cuteness

I did this shoot on my back porch, in front of some curtains, and it was all very "last minute" , spur of the moment kind of stuff. But these pics of this cute little friend of mine have become some of my favorites.

Beautiful ladies

Oh this baby was so darling. Fun to shoot photos of her, her Mommy, her Grandma, and her Great Grandma. This child is loved for sure.

"Naturals" - The Hicks photoshoot

Yes, I am proud to say that I am related to these beautiful people. While in Utah, I photographed my sister's kids in my sister-in-laws back yard. We also did a few family shots. These kids are naturals and just seem to know how to be comfortable in front of the camera. Fun shoot for sure.

My little brother...and his three girls

My little brother Jon, and his cute wife Jodi, have the cutest little family. We spent so much time with them in Utah this summer, and we miss them so much. These little girls just stole our hearts. It was fun for me to capture the essence of this sweet family. Love! We shot these in downtown Kaysville Utah, not far from their home.

Girls in White Dresses

One of my favorite things...little girls in white dresses. Especially when those little girls happen to be my darling great nieces . What a joy to follow my nephew and his family around to capture these great moments.

Mike, Shayla, and their cute girls!

Oh the sweetness! So dang cute.

Nieves shoot

While I was in Utah, I had the opportunity to photograph members of the Nieves family. I photographed some large groups, and then a few individual family groups. They wanted some pictures with their grandfather as the centerpiece, and I loved making that happen for them. This little girl with "the eyes" was just so beautiful.

Grandpa with all his grandchildren

such a darling family

Loves his Daddy for sure!

I love these eyes too!

This is my nephew Mike, his wife Shayla, his little girls, and Shayla's family. Shayla helped to organize this shoot for her grandfather.

Water and light

I captured these shots of Kennedy one day out at clearwater beach. She was just hanging out in the calm shallow waters of the gulf, staring off into the distance. I just loved the way the light and the water played across the boogie board and her skin.

Country Road

While in Nashville this past summer, I was overwhelmed by the simple beauty of the whole place. Of course I somehow convinced my kids to pose for me...again. Loved this simple country road.

A wedding day

Steve and Tinae got married in the Orlando Florida LDS temple, and it was a beautiful day.

Hillis photo shoot

I had so much fun shooting the Hillis girls and their cute cousins. Gotta love these big eyes on Annie. The girls did a great job, and I think the pictures turned out to be so fun...especially considering there was a huge rain storm going on a lot of the time. Thank goodness for covered porches.

Downtown with John's brother

I had so much fun doing this shoot with my brother and sister and law. I guess those Lopez boys know how to pose. I thought these shots came out really fun and interesting.

Steve and Tinae...Engagement shots

I had such a great time doing these engagement photos. This couple was so much fun to shoot, and they took full advantage of our beautiful location. I shot these at Cocoa beach.

Martsie and Aaron's Wedding

I was able to go to Utah this past month to photograph my nieces wedding. Martsie and Aaron were married in the Salt Lake temple, and the whole day was just beautiful...even if a little unseasonably cold. It was wonderful to be in the temple with so much of my family and then to photograph this beautiful and very in love couple. They were so natural in front of the camera, which made my job was very easy. What a wonderful experience.

Brick wall...cuteness...etc.

I shot these Pictures back in December, but had forgotten how much I loved them. I ran across them today and thought I should do a little posting. I shot these in Mount Dora Florida. We had gone there for the day with our good friends the Roses, and we ran across the brick wall of my dreams (Yes, I have strange dreams) and the rest is history. So here's...Carver, Kennedy, Cooper, Gavin, Emma, and Luke.

Matt and Stephany..."Just Married"

This past week-end I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding reception. Matt and Stephany got married, and Matt's mother asked me to come and capture some of their special moments this evening. It is always wonderful to see the joy in the faces of a new bride and groom. I am good friends with the family, so I enjoyed taking pictures of them as well. Matt and Stephany looked radiant.

The Rose Family

I did this shoot for the Rose family at Rollins College in November of 08. The architecture there is so beautiful and we had a variety of spots to choose from. I love taking pictures of good friends, as it makes for such a relaxed environment. My family tagged along for this shoot too. This family is so photogenic that it was hard to choose my favorites shots to post. I absolutely loved this day and look forward to shooting at Rollins College again.

This bell tower looked so gorgeous as we were leaving, I just had to take a shot.

The Galloway Family

This darling family with these five young children, were such fun to shoot back in November of 08. We took so many pictures this day, and even with it being a little bit chilly, they just kept turning on the "cuteness". These kids know how to work the camera. Shot after shot of darling stuff. I finally had to cut myself off. We shot at Fort Christmas in Christmas Florida and it gave us lots of variety for the millions of shots I wanted to take.

Seriously!!! I couldn't stop taking pictures of this child. She is beyond precious.

Thanks Galloways. It was a pleasure!

The Von Hack Family

What a beautiful family. Right! I got to take the Von Hack's pictures in December of 08 and it was such a fun experience. I love this picture of the four kids below. This could have potentially been a tricky photoshoot as we has a total of 16 people to shoot including extended family, but it just turned out to be so fun. My family came along and everyone just kind of played and ran around in between shots. We shot these at Fort Christmas, in Christmas Florida. One of my favorite spots. It was fun to see Chris as he was home on break for the Airforce Academy.

The Rediske family

It was such a pleasure to shoot this fun, energetic, and photogenic family back in November of 08. The Rediske's are good friends and beautiful people, inside and out. We shot these pictures in Avalon Park.

Cooper learns to pose

I recently found this park in Winter Park and thought it would be a great location to shoot. Great trees, view of the lake, neat old columns. It is called Kraft-Azalea Park. Cooper was a great sport and actually posed for me. Such a change from the old Cooper. Anyway, I liked the way they all turned out, and I would love to do some more shoots here.

The Mann Children

These pictures speak for them selves. Just tons of cuteness going on. William and Caroline Mann are about as sweet as they come. So much fun. These were taken November of 08.

Had to sneak in a picture of cute mom

The Hales Family

The Hales photo-shoot was a special one. Kurt Hales is now in Iraq for a year with the Army, and at the time I took these shots (Late December 08), he was getting close to leaving. I knew these would be the last photos they would have together for a while. The Hales also had some extended family in town, and I photographed them too. Everything ran smoothly and I really like the way they turned out. I shot these at Fort Christmas. You can see that it is one of my favorite photography spots.

Camera shy Cooper

I took these picture in the fall, at a little boarwalk that is in my neighborhood, right behind the kids school. I figured I would just let Cooper run and play and I would snap candid shots of him. Well, he was less than happy with me to say the least. He would not look at me, or even give me the time of day. I guess he was sick of seeing me with the camera in my hand.

Later in the day I tried again...with the help of candy and goofy siblings to entertain him, and he gave us a few smiles. These were all taken on my back porch.

My Parents

It was fun to take pictures of my parents when they were visiting in January of this year. We had a fun day, a great picnic, the kids played, and then we took these pictures. It's hard not having my parents live close, but to be able to have a day like this, makes up for a lot of that.
By this time...Cooper had used up all of his "good" behavior, and he would have NOTHING to do with having another picture taken (as in much screaming and ranting and raving). So I have all these sweet shots of my parents with my kids...minus the youngest. Well, what can you do. Such is life with a toddler. One day when he wonders why he didn't get in on this special moment...I will have a story to tell.

Summer Smiles

This past summer I was able to capture some relaxed and happy moments of my kids and a few of their cousins while they played in their aunt Jodi's yard in Utah. They LOVE going to Utah for a month each summer, and these pictures will always remind me of how happy they are when they are there. Sometimes I wish I could freeze my kids at this age, but I guess photography is the second best thing . I take most of my favorite shots outside using natural light. These shots show that a simple back yard, or a patch of grass, can end up being a great backdrop to pictures.

Wedding bliss

So this blog is such a work in progress. I am just slowly getting around to looking through all my photos to see what I want to include. I have not had a chance to do many weddings since I moved to Florida (I hang with a much younger crowd), but I have a few weddings coming up, so I thought maybe I would post some of my old stuff and get inspired. This darling couple (seriously...aren't they so cute) happens to be my nephew and his wife. This was three years ago in Bountiful Utah. I just loved the joy on their faces the whole day. What a fun experience.

Newborn Sweetness

Oh how I love newborn babies. These first shots are my baby niece Madi, four years ago (Shot in Black and White Film). She was my first "infant" shoot, and she was so sweet.

My brother is such a cute daddy!

These are a few of my son, Cooper. Didn't get as many "infant" photo shoots as I wanted with him. I was too busy being a new mom for the 4th time.

Baby Love

I just can't resist babies as they get into the "squishy" stage. So fun to photograph. Here are some shots of cute Andrew, Cooper, Caroline, and Maria.
